The Bardstown Tigers will square off against the Danville Admirals at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Bardstown has three straight wins, Danville has 13 straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Bardstown is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past Caverna 22-12 on Tuesday. That's two games straight that the Tigers have won by exactly ten runs.

Sophea Baker made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. That stolen base marked the first that she has snagged this season.
In other batting news, Molly Kisegy was a standout: she went 5-for-6 with six RBI, three runs, and two doubles. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high. Claire Buzick was another key player, going 3-for-5 with five runs, three RBI, and one triple.
Bardstown was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .471. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Danville couldn't beat Burgin on Monday even though they stacked five runs on them in the first inning. The Admirals came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 27-10. While the Admirals didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Bulldogs 5-0 in the first period.
Brooklyn Robinson made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with four RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Dashannica Jones, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one run and one RBI.
Bardstown's victory bumped their record up to 4-7. As for Danville, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-11.
Everything went Bardstown's way against Danville when the teams last played back in April of 2023, as Bardstown made off with a 14-1 win. Do the Tigers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Admirals turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
