The Byng Pirates will head out on the road to square off against the Latta Panthers at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Byng is coming into the game hot, having won their last seven games.
Last Friday, Byng beat Madill 35-28. Despite the victory, that was the fewest points Byng has scored all season.
Meanwhile, Latta was the victim of a tough 66-41 loss at the hands of Dale on Friday. Latta has not had much luck with Dale recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.
Byng is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 games, which provided a massive bump to their 17-7 record this season. As for Latta, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-13.
Everything went Byng's way against Latta in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 as Byng made off with a 61-41 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Byng since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
