On the hitting side, Ella Chew was incredible, going 1-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Miley Tingler, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.
Petersburg hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as East Hardy struck out six times.
Petersburg's victory bumped their record up to 11-6. As for East Hardy, they dropped their record down to 1-12 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Petersburg will take on Philip Barbour on Wednesday. As for East Hardy, they will face off against Hampshire at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
