North Medford and South Medford faced off in a cross-town battle on Monday. The Black Tornado sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the Panthers. The win was nothing new for the Black Tornado as they're now sitting on four straight.

North Medford's victory bumped their record up to 12-3. As for South Medford, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-5.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: North Medford beat the Panthers by a score of 7-4 later that day.
