Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Walt Whitman). They breezed by the Central Islip Musketeers to the tune of 73-36 on Tuesday. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Wildcats with their most commanding win of the season.

Walt Whitman pushed their record up to 8-3 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.1 points per game. As for Central Islip, they are on a 19-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Walt Whitman will welcome William Floyd at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Central Islip, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Riverhead at 4:30 p.m. on January 27th.
