Meanwhile, Fort Cherry strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Avella 48-14. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Rangers' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings (they are ranked 37th, while the Eagles are ranked 427th).
Neshannock better keep an eye on Eli Salvini. He was instrumental in Fort Cherry's win, rushing for 94 yards and three scores on only six carries. That's the most rushing yards Salvini has posted since back in September of 2024. Another player making a difference was Christian Yanosko, who rushed for 71 yards and one touchdown.
Fort Cherry was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 358 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Avella only rushed for 43.
Neshannock's record is now 7-3. As for Fort Cherry, their record now sits at 11-0.
