The Chavez Eagles won the last time they faced the Panorama Pythons, and things went their way on Thursday too. Chavez came out on top against the Pythons by a score of 55-46.
When it comes to explaining why Panorama lost, one person who can't be blamed is Eduardo Munguia. Despite the final result, he scored 29 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Munguia has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Alan Rodriguez, who scored nine points.
Chavez's win ended a seven-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-16. As for Panorama, their defeat was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 5-17.
Chavez won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against the Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on February 2nd. Arleta presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Eagles in California (the Mustangs are ranked 560th, while the Eagles are ranked 1288th).
