The Norcom Greyhounds''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They were just a hair shy of victory and fell 13-12 to Granby. Norcom was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Granby apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2022.
Norcom's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their overall record down to 3-5. The slump could be explained by some tough opposition over that stretch, namely Granby, Churchland, and Flowers. As for Granby, their victory bumped their record up to 6-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Norcom will challenge Lake Taylor at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Virginia (Lake Taylor is ranked 100th, while Norcom is ranked 99th). Granby is on the road again on Friday and play against Manor at 7:00 p.m. on October 27th. Hopefully Manor focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up four on Friday.
