Eula is 10-0 against Cross Plains since December of 2017, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Eula Pirates will look to defend their home court against the Cross Plains Buffaloes at 7:45 p.m. One thing working in Eula's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last six contests.
Eula put the finishing touches on their 18th blowout victory of the season on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Baird 57-23 on the road. Given Eula's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 568th, while Baird is ranked 1597th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Cross Plains scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They really took it to Moran for the full four quarters, racking up a 67-22 win at home. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 37-11.
Eula pushed their record up to 22-3 with that victory, which was their eighth straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.3 points per game. As for Cross Plains, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 10-11 record this season.
Everything went Eula's way against Cross Plains in their previous matchup back in February of 2023 as Eula made off with a 56-30 victory. Will Eula repeat their success, or does Cross Plains have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
