IDEA North Mission is 0-6 against Idea Academy since December of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. IDEA North Mission just played last night, but they'll still head out to face the Idea Academy Titans at 6:00 p.m. on December 15th. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
IDEA North Mission's recent rough patch got a bit rougher back in November after their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 44-24 walloping at the hands of IDEA Quest College Prep.
Meanwhile, Idea Academy unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Tuesday. Their rough 54-31 loss to IDEA Edinburg College Prep might stick with them for a while.
The losing side was boosted by Layla Perez, who scored 18 points along with nine steals and eight rebounds. The match was her fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Cloe Bernal, who scored five points.
IDEA North Mission bumped their record down to 0-1 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 16.4 points per game. As for Idea Academy, their loss ended a six-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 4-1.
IDEA North Mission suffered a grim 31-11 defeat to Idea Academy in their previous meeting back in January. Can IDEA North Mission avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
