The Abilene Christian Panthers came tearing into Friday's match with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 30 points) and they left with even more momentum. They strolled past All Saints Episcopal School with points to spare, taking the game 70-54. This was payback for Abilene Christian, who suffered a 62-53 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Will Camp was his usual excellent self, scoring 17 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryinn Waggoner, who scored nine points along with seven assists and five rebounds.
Luke D?alise and Brady Lowe certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. D?alise scored 19 points along with five rebounds, while Lowe scored 15 points along with eight rebounds. Another player making a difference was Cooper Locke, who scored seven points along with two steals.
Abilene Christian pushed their record up to 17-16 with that win, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 36.4 points. As for All Saints Episcopal School, their loss dropped their record down to 23-3.
Abilene Christian will head out on the road to take on the at 7:25 a.m. on Tuesday. Southcrest Christian is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak. As for All Saints Episcopal School, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Cardinals at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Ascension Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past six matches -- so hopefully the Patriots like a good challenge.
