Hackettstown will challenge Parsippany Hills on the road at 1:00 PM on Saturday. The MaxPreps rankings say the odds are against Hackettstown, but that can only make success all the sweeter.
After a disappointing 7 points in the contest before, Hackettstown made sure to put some points up on the board against Vernon last Friday. Hackettstown were the clear victor by a 41-13 margin over Vernon. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 27-7.
Meanwhile, it was all tied up at the half for Parsippany Hills and Hanover Park, but Parsippany Hills stepped up in the second half. Parsippany Hills walked away with a 34-20 victory over Hanover Park. The success made it back-to-back wins for Parsippany Hills.
Their wins lifted both teams to an identical 2-2. In their win, Parsippany Hills relied heavily on freshman Dominick Verducci, who rushed for 117 yards and 3 touchdowns. Hackettstown will need to find a way to minimize his impact if they want to win.
