The Rancho Verde Mustangs will square off against the Notre Dame Titans at 3:15 p.m. on Monday. Rancho Verde is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.2 runs per game this season.

Last Friday, Rancho Verde came up short against Marina and fell 13-9. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Abraham Manzo made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. That triple marked the first that he hit this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Caden Coppola, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

Manzo wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Rancho Verde kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in March of 2024.

Meanwhile, after only two runs in their last contest, Notre Dame made sure to put some runs up on the board against Hesperia Christian on Monday. Notre Dame blew past Hesperia Christian 12-1.

Rancho Verde's loss dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Notre Dame, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.

Rancho Verde was able to grind out a solid win over Notre Dame in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, winning 7-3. Will Rancho Verde repeat their success, or does Notre Dame have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
