The Macon County Tigers will head out to challenge the Anderson County Mavericks at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Macon County gave up the first runs on Friday, but they didn't let that get them down. They blew past Bearden 10-4. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Tigers.

Eli Carver tossed a big game, striking out six batters over six innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since March 3rd.
At the plate, Macon County let Ty Bilbrey and Jake Meador run wild. Bilbrey scored three runs while going 2-for-3, while Meador scored two runs while going 2-for-3. That's the most runs Bilbrey has posted over his last 11 games. Chase Keene was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.
Macon County kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, Anderson County had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Warriors.
Anderson County also got a great performance from Landry Sharp as he struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits (and only one walk).
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on AJ Colorusso, who scored a run while going 2-for-2. Another player making a difference was Jackson Harris, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3.
Anderson County's victory was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-4. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Macon County, their record is now 8-5.
Saturday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Macon County has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .464.
