Pike Road came into Tuesday's contest having lost five straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. Everything went their way against the Park Crossing Thunderbirds on Tuesday as they made off with a 13-2 win. Considering the Patriots' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Hudson Franks looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits.

On the hitting side, Pike Road let Hunter Morton and Coleman Stabler run wild. Morton scored a run while going 2-for-4, while Stabler scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Quinton Robinson was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.

Pike Road always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .613. The last time their OBP was this high was since the start of last season.

The victory was their first at home , bumping their record up to 9-18. As for Park Crossing, their record now sits at 8-8.
