In what's become a running theme this season, the Wakeland Wolverines gave their fans yet another huge win on Friday. Their defense stepped up to hand Frisco a 3-0 shutout. The win was familiar territory for Wakeland who now have eight in a row.
Wakeland pushed their record up to 12-0-1 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 22 goals over those four contests. As for Frisco, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-8-3.
Wakeland will head out on the road to face off against The Colony at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Wakeland is not getting complacent considering they own a much higher rank in Texas (they are ranked fifth, while The Colony is ranked 130th). As for Frisco, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Reedy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Frisco's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.
