It was a good run, but the Priddy Pirates unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Friday. They received a tough blow as they fell 60-44 to Zephyr. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Priddy of the 58-30 loss they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture back in January.
Priddy's loss came despite strong showings from Emily Andrade and Zaylee Haile. Andrade scored ten points along with seven rebounds, while Haile scored 13 points along with five rebounds. Sadie Buffe was another key contributor, scoring four points along with seven rebounds.
Priddy's defeat ended a nine-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 16-3. As for Zephyr, they pushed their record up to 15-2 with that win, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Priddy will face off against the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Sidney is coming into the game on a six-game losing streak. Zephyr does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
