A District 1 recap October 1, 2013
The biggest upset of the week belonged to Oklahoma Bible, who defeated 180th ranked Mooreland, 19-13.
The Trojans moved up to 166 from 201 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in A District 1. Oklahoma Bible was able to move up by defeating the Bearcats 19-13.
Scott Dobrinski was the most successful running back in the league this week. He ran for 157 yards on 29 carries as Okeene lost to Okeene. Cade Mitch also contributed to the rushing game with 31 yards on the ground.
The Yellowjackets' Jaden Dillard and Brett Fast led the league in both passing and receiving yards. Dillard has thrown for 332 yards this season, while Fast, a 5-foot-10 receiver, has 6 catches for 117 yards. Dobrinski from the Whippets leads the league in rushing with 609 yards.
A big matchup in A District 1 this week will be when Okeene takes on Hooker. Jeff Wardlaw's team is in first place, while the Bulldogs are in fourth place.
Hooker was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from eighth to fourth in the league. Jacob Kreamer's team defeated Turpin 32-22 earlier in the week.
