Laurel Highlands lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Ethan Koffler, who scored 13 points. Shane Layton was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Laurel Highlands bumped their record down to 2-12 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home. That rough patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.5 points per game. As for Southmoreland, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Laurel Highlands will challenge Uniontown at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Uniontown is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling. As for Southmoreland, they will head out on the road to square off against Indiana at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Indiana is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.
