Kearney entered their tilt with North Platte on Thursday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They walked away with a 46-33 win over the North Platte Bulldogs. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Bearcats also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2024.

Despite the defeat, North Platte saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Josie Douglas posted ten points along with seven boards and three steals. The dominant performance also gave Douglas a new career-high in assists (four).

Kearney's victory bumped their record up to 7-1. As for North Platte, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-5.

Kearney will head out to face off against Lincoln High at 5:45 p.m. on January 10th. North Platte has already played their next match, a 70-46 loss against Bennington on the 4th.
