The Madison Marlins entered their tilt with the Sterling Raiders with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. Madison came out on top against Sterling by a score of 70-63 on Friday. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Marquez Hubbard-chenault was his usual excellent self, scoring 23 points along with five rebounds and four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Nicolas Golden was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 12 points and 15 rebounds.
Madison is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season. As for Sterling, their loss ended a nine-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 11-7.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Galena Park the next time they take the court. Madison will head out to face Galena Park at 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Sterling will host them at 8:30 p.m. on Friday.
