Northampton won the last time it faced Mathews, and things went their way on Friday, too. Northampton blew past Mathews 28-6. Northampton was expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast. This was the first game for both teams, giving Northampton a 1-0 record and starting Mathews off at 0-1.
Next week, Northampton take on Northumberland at 7:00 PM. As for Mathews, they will face of against Washington & Lee.
