Corona del Sol was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss dating back to last season. They took a hard 64-45 fall against the Queen Creek Bulldogs. One positive for the Aztecs, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Queen Creek found their leader in freshman Amaya Rodgers, who posted 23 points and five steals. With that strong performance, Rodgers is now averaging an impressive 15.1 points per game. Jasmine Kraus was another key player, putting up 14 points.

Corona del Sol's defeat dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Queen Creek, their victory bumped their record up to 5-13.

Corona del Sol and Queen Creek could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Arizona Rankings. Corona del Sol (ranked 233rd) will meet Sunnyslope (ranked 13th) at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Similarly, Queen Creek (ranked 209th) will meet Highland (ranked 68th) at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
