Druid Hills has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will challenge the Holy Innocents Episcopal Golden Bears at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Last Saturday, it was close, but Druid Hills sidestepped the Hornets for a 61-58 victory. That's two games straight that Druid Hills has won by exactly three points.
Meanwhile, Holy Innocents Episcopal had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 26 points), and they went ahead and made it six on Friday. They put the hurt on Miller Grove with a sharp 72-49 win. Holy Innocents Episcopal has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matches by 23 points or more this season.
Caleb Wilson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, almost dropping a triple-double on 19 points, 19 rebounds, and nine assists. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last nine games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Devin Hutcherson, who scored 15 points.
Druid Hills' victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-8. As for Holy Innocents Episcopal, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season.
Things could have been worse for Druid Hills, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 83-67 loss to the Golden Bears when the teams last played back in January. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Wilson, who dropped a double-double on 32 points and 15 rebounds. Now that Druid Hills knows the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? There's only one way to find out.
