Central of Clay County is 1-9 against Sylacauga since January of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Central of Clay County Volunteers will be playing at home against the Sylacauga Aggies at 7:30 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the pair posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Last Wednesday, Central of Clay County was able to grind out a solid win over Munford, taking the game 59-52.
Meanwhile, Sylacauga scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Lincoln 79-39 at home. That 79-39 margin sets a new team best for Sylacauga this season.
It was another big night for Revish Bardwell, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 12 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Erick Oneal, who scored 13 points.
Central of Clay County now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Sylacauga, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 4-6 record this season.
Central of Clay County strolled past Sylacauga in their previous matchup back in February by a score of 81-63. Will Central of Clay County repeat their success, or does Sylacauga have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
