Glenbard West and Downers Grove North are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2018, but not for long. The Glenbard West Hilltoppers will head out on the road to take on the Downers Grove North Trojans at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the pair will really light up the scoreboard.
Last Saturday, Glenbard West strolled past Scales Mound with points to spare, taking the game 70-52.
Meanwhile, Downers Grove North scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They breezed by Proviso West at home to the tune of 87-47. Winning may never get old, but Downers Grove North sure is getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
Glenbard West now has a winning record of 13-12. As for Downers Grove North, they pushed their record up to 22-4 with that victory, which was their sixth straight at home.
Glenbard West came up short against Downers Grove North in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, falling 52-40. Can Glenbard West avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
