Menendez has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matches by 31 points or more this season. They breezed by Matanzas on the road to the tune of 57-17. Winning may never get old, but Menendez sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.
Menendez's win on Tuesday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Sophia Scibelli, who scored 7 points. Another player making a difference was Jakayla Newsome, who scored 12 points.
Meanwhile, Westside beat First Coast 59-50 on Wednesday. That's two games straight that Westside has won by exactly nine points.
Menendez's victory bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Westside, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.
