Eastern Wayne stacked a seventh blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 48-15 victory over Princeton. With Eastern Wayne ahead 33-5 at the half, the game was all but over already.
Meanwhile, things could have been worse for Wayne Preparatory Academy, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 40-22 loss to Eastern Wayne on Thursday. While losing is never fun, Wayne Preparatory Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 266th, while Eastern Wayne is ranked 70th).
Eastern Wayne pushed their record up to 13-1 with that win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.2 points per game. As for Wayne Preparatory Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-10.
