BAXTER, Tenn. -
Upperman (Baxter, Tenn.) beat Grundy County (Coalmont, Tenn.) 56-20 on the strength of a superb game by dual threat quarterback
Connor York, who threw three touchdown passes while running for two more.
After taking the lead on a York touchdown run in the first quarter, the Bees were up 21-6 at the half.
Upperman expanded its lead to 22 points entering the fourth quarter. UHS scored three times in the third, including once on a touchdown.
Even though the Baxter school led by 22 points at the start of the fourth quarter, it didn't let up, scoring 14 in the quarter.
The Bees got revenge for last year's 21-7 loss to the Yellowjackets with the victory.
