After flying high against the Jackson-Olin Mustangs last Friday, the Parker Thundering Herd came back down to earth. Parker fell to Minor 44-38. Parker was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Minor apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.
Several Thundering Herd players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Janiya Mines, who scored 16 points along with five steals. Another player making a difference was Teralyn Hill, who scored five points along with seven rebounds and five steals.
Parker's defeat dropped their record down to 15-6. As for Minor, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-9 record this season.
Parker will look to defend their home court on Friday against Homewood at 6:00 p.m. Homewood will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. As for Minor, they will head out on the road to challenge Jackson-Olin at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Jackson-Olin is coming into the contest on a six-game losing streak.
