The Palmdale Falcons entered their matchup against the Highland Bulldogs on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. Palmdale was beaten by Highland 67-13. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Palmdale in their matchups with Highland: they've now lost four in a row.
Joseph Mason threw for 134 yards on 14 of 28 attempts. Chris Conley-Wimberly was his top target, picking up 29 receiving yards and no touchdowns. On the ground, Mark Edwards jr rushed for 38 yards.
Justin Wyatt jr. had a dynamite game for Highland, rushing for 129 yards and a touchdown on only nine carries, while also throwing for 139 yards and five touchdowns. Wyatt jr. was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 56 yards. Naim Bankhead was another key contributor, rushing for 118 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.4 yards per carry.
Palmdale's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Highland, their win bumped their record up to 6-3.
