On Saturday, the Blythewood Bengals faced the Ridge View Blazers in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Blythewood fell 66-54 to Ridge View. Blythewood lost against Ridge View in their previous head to head last Friday, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 55-52 score last time.
When it comes to explaining why Blythewood lost, one person who can't be blamed is Kishan Chung. Despite the final result, he scored 21 points along with four steals. Chung set a new season high mark in points with 21. Austin Coker was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with seven rebounds.
Blythewood's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Ridge View, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 9-0.
Blythewood will head out on the road to face off against White Knoll at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. White Knoll is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home. Ridge View will take on Spring Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Spring Valley will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps South Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 88th, while Ridge View is ranked first).
