After a string of three wins, Poth's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell just short of the McMullen County Cowboys by a score of 2-1. The contest marked the Pirates' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Poth sadly wound up on the wrong side. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 21-25, 15-11.

Poth's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for McMullen County, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-2.

Poth wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Falls City on the 16th. As for McMullen County, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against Orange Grove on the 16th.
