The Pikes Peak Christian Eagles won the last time they faced the South Park Burros, and things went their way on Friday too. Pikes Peak Christian managed a 40-34 victory over South Park. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Pikes Peak Christian.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Pikes Peak Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Sarah Harris, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten steals. Harris is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Bella Fletcher was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with seven steals.
Pikes Peak Christian is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 4-4 record this season. As for South Park, their loss dropped their record down to 4-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pikes Peak Christian will face off against Cripple Creek-Victor at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. South Park won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Del Norte at 3:00 p.m. on January 20th. Del Norte's defense has only allowed 28.9 points per game this season, so South Park's offense will have their work cut out for them.
