Shady Side Academy had to skate by with only a two-point margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 30-point drubbing they dealt Burrell on Friday. The Bulldogs blew past the Bucs, posting a 56-26 win. The Bulldogs not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since August 30, 2024 (when they won 42-7).

Shady Side Academy's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Burrell, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Shady Side Academy will take on Clairton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Burrell, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Derry at 7:00 p.m. on September 12.
