Boyd Anderson is on a three-game streak of home losses, McArthur a three-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change. The Boyd Anderson Cobras will take on the McArthur Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Boyd Anderson will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 396th, while McArthur is ranked 186th).
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 38-10, which was the final score in Boyd Anderson's tilt against Fort Lauderdale on Friday.
Jason Bell put forth a good effort for the losing side as he picked up 160 receiving yards. Bell was no stranger to the big play, cutting upfield for a catch that went for 60 yards.
Meanwhile, McArthur gave up the first points last Friday, but they didn't let that get them down. They came out on top against Dr. Krop by a score of 15-7. The win was just what McArthur needed coming off of a 39-0 defeat in their prior game.
Fort Lauderdale's victory bumped their season record to 2-6 while Boyd Anderson's loss dropped theirs to 1-8.
Boyd Anderson might still be hurting after the 40-14 loss they got from McArthur when the teams last played back in November of 2022. Will Boyd Anderson have more luck at home instead of on the road?
