The North Miami Beach Chargers will head out on the road to face off against the Reagan Bison at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both have allowed few points on average, (North Miami Beach: 28.9, Reagan: 20.6) so any points scored will be well earned.
North Miami Beach will roll into the match after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up 19 points on Wednesday, then bounced right back against Coral Gables on Friday. North Miami Beach took their contest with ease, bagging a 67-15 victory over Coral Gables. The Chargers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight games by 30 points or more this season.

North Miami Beach can attribute much of their success to Serena Volcy, who went 13 of 18 en route to 27 points in addition to eight boards and three steals, and Yoshaney Cayaso, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 12 rebounds. That's the most points Cayaso has posted since back in February of 2024. Queen Harrell was another key player, putting up eight points.
Meanwhile, Reagan was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Monday as they fell 38-32 to Jackson. The Bison haven't had much luck with the Generals recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
North Miami Beach will have to contain Sophia Naranjo-Palma as she made an impact in Reagan's last game. She posted 12 points along with seven steals and six rebounds. Naranjo-Palma is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last 24 games she's played dating back to last season. Camila Reyes also deserves some recognition as she posted her first block of the season.
Even though they lost, Reagan smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in three consecutive matchups.
North Miami Beach has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.3 points per game. As for Reagan, their loss dropped their record down to 9-5.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: North Miami Beach has been crashing the boards this season, having averaged 30.9 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Reagan struggles in that department as they've been averaging 36.7 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Everything came up roses for North Miami Beach against Reagan in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, as the team secured a 41-3 win. Does North Miami Beach have another victory up their sleeve, or will Reagan turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
