Ellis had lost three games straight , but after bumping their record up to 7-5 on Thursday that streak is in the rearview. Everything went their way against the Kinsley Coyotes as they made off with a 14-4 victory. Chason Fabrizius was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base. Ellis is undefeated when Fabrizius posts two or more runs, but 3-5 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Aiden Aschenbrenner, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.
Ellis was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .552. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .368 or higher in six consecutive matchups.
As for Kinsley, with the loss, they broke their seven-game winning streak and moved their record to 8-2. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for they, who until this game were averaging 3.7 runs allowed.
