Rockledge has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will take on the Okeechobee Brahmans at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Rockledge has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Rockledge scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They blew past Merritt Island 64-23 at home. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Rockledge has managed all season.
It was another big night for Jaida Williams-Goins, who almost dropped a double-double on 40 points and nine steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Danica Smith was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds.
Meanwhile, it was a hard-fought match, but Okeechobee had to settle for a 51-48 defeat against the Panthers on Wednesday. Okeechobee has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Rockledge's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-13. As for Okeechobee, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season.
Rockledge couldn't quite finish off the Brahmans in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 and fell 48-45. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Okeechobee's Justice Shanks, who scored 28 points. Now that Rockledge knows the damage she can cause, will they be able to stop her this time? There's only one way to find out.
