The Elma Eagles will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Eatonville Cruisers at 7:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
On Wednesday, Elma came up short against the Beavers and fell 55-43. Elma has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Carter Studer, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds. Isaac McGaffey was another key contributor, scoring two points along with eight rebounds and three blocks.
Meanwhile, Eatonville's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their eighth straight loss. They received a tough blow as they fell 80-64 to Hoquiam. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Eatonville in their matchups with the Grizzlies: they've now lost three in a row.
Elma's defeat dropped their record down to 11-8. As for Eatonville, they dropped their record down to 6-12 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home.
Everything came up roses for Elma against the Cruisers in their previous matchup back in January as the squad secured a 78-30 win. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Eatonville's Hunter Klumpar, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 13 rebounds. Now that he's got a second chance to win this matchup, will Elma still be able to contain Klumpar? There's only one way to find out.
