While the A Accelerated Prep couldn't quite beat Balboa School on Sunday, the two-point margin was a huge improvement compared to the 24-point defeat they were dealt last Sunday. A fell just short of Balboa School by a score of 73-71. A's loss continues an unfortunate trend for the team, making it three in a row.
Balboa School's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jahmarian Forrester, who scored 13 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. Forrester hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Travis Musonda, who scored 13 points along with two blocks.
A's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Balboa School, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a massive bump to their 11-9 record this season.
A does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Balboa School will be playing at home against The Rock National at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
