Carver A&T is 4-0 against the Golden Eagles since January of 2020, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. The Carver A&T Wildcats will stay at home for another game and welcome the Owings Mills Golden Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on February 5th. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
On Friday, Carver A&T came up short against the Wolverines and fell 58-50.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Elisah Guity, who scored 18 points along with two steals. That was a full 36% of Carver A&T's points, marking the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jada McAliley, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds.
Meanwhile, Owings Mills' recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their ninth straight loss. They were dealt a 55-7 loss at the hands of Hereford. Owings Mills has not had much luck with the Bulls recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
Carver A&T has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-7 record this season. As for Owings Mills, they dropped their record down to 1-15 with that loss, which was their ninth straight on the road.
Everything came up roses for Carver A&T against the Golden Eagles in their previous meeting back in December of 2023 as the squad secured a 59-16 victory. Will Carver A&T repeat their success, or do the Golden Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
