They escaped with a win against Jordan Christian Prep by the margin of a single free throw, 41-40. That one point margin sets a new team best for DME Academy Blue this season.
Despite the loss, Jordan Christian Prep saw an underclassman step up: Amelia Williams dropped a triple-double on 20 points, 13 rebounds, and ten blocks. That was a full 50% of Jordan Christian Prep's points, marking the fifth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Delyana Morris was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with ten rebounds.
DME Academy Blue's victory bumped their record up to 1-8. As for Jordan Christian Prep, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-7.
