Boothbay is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Hall-Dale on Friday as they made off with a 14-4 win. The Seahawks haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.
Casey Phelps was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing seven innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off seven hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (five). He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. He also hit a double, marking his first of the season.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Shawn Gamage, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and one double. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Aidric Canada, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.
Meanwhile, Oak Hill was able to grind out a solid win over Mountain Valley on Thursday, taking the game 7-4.
Oak Hill's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Logan Langlois, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double.
Boothbay's win bumped their record up to 6-8. As for Oak Hill, their victory bumped their record up to 4-9.
