After soaring to 59 points the game before, Faith Academy were a bit more limited in their match on Tuesday. They were dealt a 64-21 defeat at the hands of Brazos Christian. Faith Academy's defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.
Meanwhile, winning is just a little bit easier when you work as a team to post eight more assists than your opponent, a fact Live Oak Classical proved on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 57-32 margin over Central Texas Christian. The win was just what Live Oak Classical needed coming off of a 54-28 loss in their prior game.
Live Oak Classical's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Audrey Pahmiyer, who scored 21 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. Pahmiyer is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 11 games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Julia Pitts, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds and six steals.
Faith Academy's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-14. As for Live Oak Classical, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 matches, which provided a massive bump to their 18-11 record this season.
Faith Academy came up short against Live Oak Classical when the teams last played back in January, falling 57-44. Can Faith Academy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
