If the Benson Bunnies were feeling good off their 68-47 takedown of the Omaha Westside Warriors on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Benson suffered a tough 74-50 defeat at the hands of Millard West on Saturday. Benson has not had much luck with Millard West recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Loss or not, Benson got some senior leadership from Ahmani Klabunde who scored 22 points and Jesani Green who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds. Klabunde scored a full 44% of Benson's points, the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Benson's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Millard West, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.
Benson is on the road again on Thursday and play against Mercy at 7:00 p.m. on January 4, 2024. Millard West and Millard North will face off at 3:30 p.m. on January 2, 2024 without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Millard North is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
