Hesperia Christian has gone a perfect 10-0 against Lucerne Valley recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 3:15 p.m. Hesperia Christian is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.4 runs per game this season.

Hesperia Christian let Eden Skinner and Rilee Cooper run wild. Skinner went 3-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and one triple, while Cooper went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most stolen bases Cooper has posted since back in February. Samantha Lewis also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Meanwhile, Lucerne Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch last Friday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 24-2 to Academy of Careers & Exploration.
Lucerne Valley saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Audrey Mross, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases.
Hesperia Christian is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-7-1 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.0 runs over those games. As for Lucerne Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-8.
Lucerne Valley's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Hesperia Christian has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 10.6 hits per game. It's a different story for Lucerne Valley, though, as they've been averaging 10.5 hits. Given Hesperia Christian's sizable advantage in that area, the Mustangs will need to find a way to close that gap.
Hesperia Christian took their win against Lucerne Valley in their previous meeting two weeks ago by a conclusive 20-2 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Patriots since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
