After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Syracuse, the Box Elder Bees were happy to have found some success on Wednesday. They came out on top against Mountain Crest by a score of 58-45. That's another feather in the cap for Box Elder, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Box Elder got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Madi Thurgood out in front who scored 6 points along with 8 steals and 5 rebounds. Thurgood is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Kadence Barber, who scored 6 points along with 6 assists and 5 steals.
The victory got Box Elder back to even at 2-2. As for Mountain Crest, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.
Box Elder will square off against Valencia at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Mountain Crest, they will head out on the road to face off against Olympus at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Olympus focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Tuesday.
