Bristol Central is a perfect 9-0 against Bristol Eastern since November of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 10:30 a.m. Bristol Central will be strutting in after a victory while Bristol Eastern will be coming in after a loss.
Last Friday, Bristol Central beat Simsbury 30-18. That looming 30-18 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Rams yet this season.

Gabriel Ouellette was his usual excellent self, rushing for 166 yards and two scores, while also throwing for 71 yards and one TD while completing 71.4% of his passes. His rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his sixth straight game with at least 108 rushing yards.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Bristol Central was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 269 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 197 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.
Bristol Central didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. Leading the way was Ace Rodriguez and his one interception.
Meanwhile, Bristol Eastern came up short against Newington last Saturday, falling 29-6. The Lancers have struggled against the Nor'easters recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Although Bristol Eastern took the loss, they still got scores from Aidyn Davies, Jacob Kingsley, and Mario Walker.
Bristol Central's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-6. As for Bristol Eastern, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-8.
Thursday's game might be decided in the trenches. Bristol Central has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 258.1 rushing yards per game. It's a different story for Bristol Eastern, though, as they've been averaging only 91.7 rushing yards. How will they fare against such a dominant running game?
Bristol Central was able to grind out a solid victory over Bristol Eastern in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, winning 14-7. Do the Rams have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Lancers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
