Baseball Recap: Immokalee Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Immokalee had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They walked away with a 5-2 win over the Ida Baker Bulldogs. The Indians have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Bulldogs, too.

Aiden Puente spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on five hits and racked up ten Ks. What's more, he gave up only one walk, the fewest he's had since back in February.

On the hitting side, Adrian Ramirez was excellent, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March of 2024.

Immokalee hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their strikeout total in three consecutive matches.

Immokalee's record is now 4-8. As for Ida Baker, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-8.

Coming up, Immokalee will be playing in front of their home fans against Lely at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
